She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Joe Lanier and Darleen Popwell Lanier. She is survived by: her husband Rodney Wilbur Sheffield; her son Mason Sheffield (Leslie) of Kingsland, Georgia; and her siblings, Joe Lanier, Jr. (Elphy) of Eastman, Steve Lanier (Melissa) of Kingsland and Cindy Martin (Mike) of White Oak, Georgia. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
