He was predeceased by: his father Lavern Buchanan; his former wife Sandra Buchanan; his grandson Jonathon Barrick; and his grandparents, Alois Trey, Sr., Anna Trey, Broward Buchanan and Willie Lee Buchanan.
He is survived by: his mother Sabina Trey Buchanan of St. Marys, GA; his wife Mary Jane Buchanan of Kingsland, GA; his children, Racheal Barrick (Donald) of St. Marys, GA, Micheal Buchanan (Glenda) of Kingsland, GA, Amber Williams (Ryan) of Kingsland, GA and Lisa Pierce of Kingsland, GA.; his brothers, Russell Buchanan (June) of St. Marys, GA and Trey Buchanan (Tammey) of Mayo, FL.; his grandchildren, Austin Barrick, Shelby Buchanan, Addison Buchanan, Kaley Pierce, Gage Williams and Annabelle Williams; and his nieces and nephews, Keely Dyjak, Chase Buchanan and Madison Buchanan.
