He was predeceased by: his parents, William Arthur Herrington and Louise Shepard Herrington; his wife Rita Burke Herrington; his son Tim Herrington; and his siblings, JoAnn Williams, Harriett Taylor and Lee Herrington.
He is survived by: his children, Matt Herrington (Jeanette) of Darien, Michael Herrington of Swainsboro and Denise Wingrove of Dothan, AL.; his stepchildren, Donna Newsome (Ricky) of Swainsboro and Joey Burke (Terri) of Swainsboro; and his brother Rufus Herrington of Kite. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
