She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Bill Dearing and Lemous Elizabeth Dearing; and her siblings, Jimmie Ray Dearing, Bobby Joe Dearing, Billy John Dearing, Jerry Allen Dearing and Linda Coker.

She is survived by: her husband James N. Pettigrew; her sons, Kevin Pettigrew (Dawn), Brent Pettigrew (Tonia) and Jason Pettigrew; and her grandchildren, Megan Pettigrew, Kayla Sharp, Laurabeth Pettigrew, Madison Pettigrew, Levi Pettigrew, Allie Pettigrew, Caroline Knox, Drew Pettigrew and Aaron Pettigrew. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
