David Ray Hampton Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of David Ray Hampton of LaFayette, Georgia. David passed away on October 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Hampton and Frances Cordell; and his brothers, Rex Hampton, Charles Hampton and Steve Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hampton; his children, Brian Houston, Jenny VanFossen and Christopher Hampton; and his siblings, Tina Harris and Richard Hampton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home (121 W Villanow St, LaFayette, GA 30728). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
