She was predeceased by: her husband Willie Hawkins; her sons, Joseph Park Young Jr. and Johnathan Mark Young; and her parents, Marshall William Broom and Nora Myrtle Broom.

She is survived by: her children, Eve Watts (Kenny), Adam Young (Dana), Wade Young (Sheila) and Hanna Young (Randy Parks). She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
