We announce the death of Ronnie Gentry of LaFayette, Georgia, who passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Gentry and Margaret Roper Gentry; his daughter Gidget Monta Gentry; and his grandchild Keener. He is survived by: his wife Shelia Gentry; his children, Brian Gentry (Kami), Beth Beason and Shay Ash (Ken); his grandchildren, Katlyn Gravitt (Sean Keener), Treasure Lamb (Brandon), Tracy Richardson (Cheyann), CJ McDonald (Wyatt), Levi Gentry, Kenneth Ash (Ashley), Brianna York (Curtis) and Brittany Stadler (Matthew); his great grandchildren, Nora, Harleigh Lamb, Wrenley McDonald, Oakley Richardson, Aiden McGill, Hadleigh, Kenneth Ash III, Blair and Birklee Stadler; and his brother Garry Gentry (Bonnie). He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home (121 W Villanow St, LaFayette, GA 30728). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
