He is survived by: his wife Virginia Jones Hewitt; his daughters, Elizabeth "Libby" Jones, Melody Dye (Billy) and Melissa Hewitt; his grandchildren, Dixie Hicks, Lucas Hicks, Daisy Blackburn (A. J.), Jacob, Annie and Hailey Dye; his great grandchildren, Westin Hicks and Rhett Benefield; and his sisters, Judy Watts, Helen Cooper and Mary White. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
