He was predeceased by: his parents, J. R. McCurdy and Carrie Hale McCurdy; and his siblings, Dr. Robert McCurdy, Ralph McCurdy, Kathryn Tyson (Clifford), Elizabeth Chapman (Burl), Annelle Ledbetter (Otis), Martha Henry (Charles) and Carolyn Vanderbur (Chuck).
He is survived by: his wife Nelda McCurdy (Pickell); his son Dale McCurdy (Beth); and his granddaughter Gray Anna Kephart (Wade). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
