With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice Jean Yancey (LaGrange, Georgia), who passed away on April 23, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Alice Jean may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Copeland Sr. and Cora Mae Ferrell Copeland; and her siblings, Rev. John Copeland, Haywood Copeland, Frank Copeland, Jr., Albert "AB" Copeland, Katherine Wyatt, Margaret Malone and Elizabeth Jackson.

She is survived by : her friends, Faye White, Michelle Winston and Hattie Avery. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home (100 Corporate Plaza Dr, LaGrange, GA 30241). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the East Side Baptist Church (1016 Mason St, LaGrange, GA 30240).
