He was predeceased by: his parents, James Woodson Upchurch and Frances Erin Mostellar Upchurch; his brother Robert "Bobby" Upchurch; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Holsombeck. He is survived by: his daughter Whitney Campassi (Chris); his sisters, Joanne Holsombeck and Arlene Carter (David); and his siblings' children, Chad Holsombeck (Kristie), Todd Holsombeck and Kenya Taylor.
A reception will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary (1010 Mooty Bridge Rd, LaGrange, GA 30241). A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Restlawn Memory Gardens (2098 Mooty Bridge Rd, LaGrange, GA 30241).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Emory Eye Care Center Research Fund or the Building Fund at First Baptist Church of LaGrange.
