She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Walker and Louise Thornton Gates; her son David Gates; and her brothers, Isiah Jacob Gates and Bobby Gates.
She is survived by: her children, Ronnie L. Gates, Sylvia Gates Simpson, Linda Gates Daniels and Stacier Gates Henry; and her grandchildren, Undriel Copeland, Dedrick Simpson, Jason Simpson, Jazmin Daniels, David Gates III, Erica Henry, Bryan Henry, Brittany Gates and Tonia Gates. She is also survived by five great grandchildren; nephews: Clyde Towns, Gerry Towns; nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home (100 Corporate Plaza Dr, LaGrange, GA 30241). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
