She is survived by: her children, Ronnie L. Gates (Diana), Sylvia Gates Simpson (Sam), Linda Gates Daniels and Stacier Gates Henry; and her grandchildren, Undriel Copeland, Dedrick Simpson, Jason Simpson, Jazmin Daniels, David Gates III, Erica Henry, Bryan Henry, Brittany Gates and Tonia Gates. She is also survived by five great grandchildren; nephews.
