He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie L. Burden Dukes and Robert Walter; his son Dion Dukes; and his siblings, Katherine Traylor, Lugenia Dukes, Henry M. Dukes, Willie Ernest Dukes and Johnny M. Dukes.
He is survived by: his wife Irma Jean; his children, Southwire, Greg Wilkerson, Mack Wilkerson, Jeffrey Dukes, Benjamin Dukes and Charlotte Bray (Dexter); his grandchildren, Gregory Wilkerson (Christy), Justin Dukes, April Dukes, Genesis Almon, DeAunte Holloway, Cheyenne Chappelle and Jeremiah Holloway (Alexis); and his close friend Artis Wells. He is also survived by other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
