He was predeceased by: his parent Charlie McRae, Sr.; and his sister Cynthia Jill Prater. He is survived by: his mother Bonnie Lee Gordy McRae; his close friend L. P.; his wife Sonya James McRae; his daughters, Jessica Olson (Christopher) and Kaitlyn King (Cameron); his brother Randall Keith (Denise); and his granddaughter June Olson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; extended family and many friends.
