We are sad to announce that on May 23, 2022, at the age of 67, Claire C. Gordon (LaGrange, Georgia), born in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Robert Edward 'Doc Gordon. She is survived by: her daughter Katherine Tigner 'K. T.' Hanson (Zuni); her sister Martha Lee Gordon; and her close friends, Kiwi, Mango, Butterball, Beau and Dandy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the Harris County Humane Society (hsharrisco.org) or to the Gordon Family Scholarship (contact Elia M. Baltes, Kiwanis Club Secretary, 706-333-9774 or [email protected]).

“Martha and KT, I am so saddened by Claire's passing. We met in 1974 at an archaeological site in Illinois, where she also met Doug. I was a bridesmaid at their wedding. For a while, I worked for Claire at Natick. I knew you as a toddler, KT! She was a good friend and a brilliant scientist. I know how proud of you she was as you followed your primates. I am glad she got to enjoy her very well-earned retirement with Beau and her cats, but her time was way too short. We are all grieving.”
