Douglas Eugene Watkins Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Eugene Watkins of LaGrange, Georgia, who passed away on July 25, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Earnest Watkins and Susie Reason Watkins; and his siblings, Helen Watkins Kirby, Blanche Watkins Sams, Mildred Watkins Lynch, Carl Watkins and Bobby Watkins.
He is survived by: his significant other Billy Ray Boner; his friend Matthew Buttrum; his sibling's children, David Lynch, Susan Smith and Cindy Ellis; his friends, Mike, Charlotte Ford of LaGrange, Frank and Michelle Landers of Brooks, Georgia.; and his pet Max. He is also survived by several other nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home (506 Hill St, LaGrange, GA 30240). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
