It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Elizabeth Dukes Bishop (LaGrange, Georgia), who passed away at the age of 72, on May 8, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Charles Dukes and Mamie Ruth Owen Dukes; and her nephew Chad Henry. She is survived by : her husband Landis Bishop; her children, Roger Ellington, Jr. (Vicky), Jeffrey Ellington, Justin Dukes (Kendall), Chad Bishop (Daphne), Kevin Bishop (Tayme), Christopher Bishop (Kara), Alex Bishop (Brooke), Kelley Miller (Billy), Brandie Newsome (Jason) and Kacie Cadenhead (Phillip); and her sister Judy Laney. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; extended family and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home (506 Hill St, LaGrange, GA 30241). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Liz Bishop to Brightmoor Hospice, 3247 Newnan Rd, Griffin , GA 30223.
