She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Frank Sr. and Ludie Ward Simms; her husband Charles Benjamin Smith; her siblings, James, Harold, Jim Frank, Walt, Duck Simms, Dorothy Benson, Carolyn Ives, Sara Flangan and Marion Owens; and her friend Eva Montgomery.
She is survived by: her children, Joanie L. Henderson (Tony Henderson) and Charles B. Smith Jr. (Angie Smith); her grandchildren, Brooke Kinney (Jacob Kinney), Chase Henderson (Katie Henderson), Chad Smith, Drew Smith and Grant Smith (Kaylee); and her great grandchildren, Kaden Kinney, Harper Grae Kinney, Bentley Henderson and Reynolds Henderson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and close family friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church (3731 W Point Rd, LaGrange, GA 30240). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Shadowlawn Cemetery (112 Oak Ln, LaGrange, GA 30241).
