She is survived by: her husband Gary Newman; her children, Tamikia Newman Brown (Glenn) and Gary Bernard Newman, Jr.; her grandchildren, Temima Brown Albright (Alec), Ariel Murphy, Aziya Newman, Zoey Newman, Daiz'Newman, Moses Brown and Khyrin Newman; her great grandchildren, Heiress Williams and Marcello Williams, Jr.; her siblings, Reverend Mary Douglas, Reverend Willie Cameron (Gloria), Deaconess Deloris Cofield (Larry) and Reverend Samuel Cameron (Jannis); and her sisters-in-law, Angela Newman Pace and Sharon Newman Brooks.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lakes Dunson Robertson Funeral Home (100 Corporate Plaza Dr, LaGrange, GA 30241). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (204 Fannin St, LaGrange, GA 30241). A burial was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at the Meadoway Gardens Cemetery (3298 Hamilton Rd, LaGrange, GA 30241).
