She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Parker Lanier and LaFayette Eugene Lanier; her husband James Lewis; and her siblings, Ellen Lanier Nichols, Faye Lanier Smith and Michael Lanier.
She is survived by: her son Mark Lewis (Julie); her grandsons, Derek Lewis (Lisa) and Michael Lewis (Angie); her great grandchildren, Annabelle Lewis, Molly Lewis, Reese Lewis and Cora Lewis; her sister Frances Wright of Marietta, Georgia; and her sister-in-law Darlene Lanier (Georgia) of LaGrange. She is also survived by her family, and her friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Clearview Chapel (2101 S Davis Rd, LaGrange, GA 30241). A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Helen Lewis to the Clearview Chapel at 2101 South Davis Road, LaGrange GA 30240, or the WellStar West Georgia Hospice at 1510 Vernon Road, LaGrange, Ga 30240.
