She was predeceased by: her parents, Ard Stine Barr and Elsie Schlicher Barr. She is survived by: her husband Rev. George F Smith; her children, Susan Smith Johnsey (Phil) of Lebanon, TN and Evan A. Smith (Meg) of Camden, SC; her daughter-in-law Kathy Livingston Smith of LaGrange, GA; and her grandchildren, Brian Johnsey (Robin), Lindsay Smith Fricks (Bill), Jennifer Johnsey Britt (Ryan), Nathan Smith (Megan), Matthew Smith (Brittany), Jonathan Smith (Asheigh) and Anna Smith Moser (Matt). She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
