James Lamar Boyd Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Lamar Boyd of LaGrange, Georgia, who passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Watson Boyd and Lottie Lou Crews Boyd; and his siblings, William Boyd, Crews Boyd, Huldah Jo Yarbrough, Lottie Mae Giles and Kathleen Boyd.
He is survived by: his wife Glennis Allen Boyd; his children, Shannon Boyd Horton (Mike) and Alan Tate Boyd (Carmen); his sister Tommie Lou Hadaway; and his grandchildren, Lottie Horton Fonseca (Marshall), Elijah Horton, Nathan Boyd and Caitlyn Boyd. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home (506 Hill St, LaGrange, GA 30241). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
