With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James W. Tate Jr. of LaGrange, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2026 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James W. Tate Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wesley Tate, Sr. and Mable Zoe Lenz Tate. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Anita Polk Tate; his children, Patrick Tate (Kimberly) and Julie Owen (Scott); his grandchildren, Lauren Carr (Edward), Dalton Tate, Daniel Owen (Ashley) and McKenzie Owen; and his great grandchildren, Henry Carr, John Carr, Karlie Martin, Calie Martin, Colten Owen, Cooper Owen, Cade Whitlock and Benee Owen. He is also survived by his family and many close friends.
