He was predeceased by: his parents, Omie Johnson and Geniva Deloach Johnson; and his siblings, Floyd Johnson, Byron Johnson, Nellie Brooks and Anita Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Veal Johnson; his children, Joseph Johnson and Heather Cogan; and his siblings, Mary Joyce Heath, Gail Davis (Charles), Larry Johnson (Debbie), Jeanette Galloway (John), Tony Johnson (Katie), Mike Johnson and Danny Johnson. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews.
