He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Marshall Morris and Gladys Speaks Morris; his siblings, Alton, Edward, Virgil Morris, Eleanor Marie Barnes and Bobbie Jean Clay; his nephew Leonard Darrel Barnes; and his brother-in-law Jessie L. Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kay Railey Morris; his sons, Gregory Channing Morris (Dana) and Christopher Shane Morris (Debbie); and his grandchildren, Trevor Morris, Gunnar Morris, Channing Morris, Colby Marshall Morris, Maddison Brooke Morris and Morgan Kilgore. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Home at Pineland or to the Board of Directors Reward Fund of Troup County Crime Stoppers.
