He was predeceased by: his parents, John David Whorton, Sr. and Martha Kenney Whorton; and his sister Karen Harkins. He is survived by: his children, David Whorton (Tammy) and Kathy Johnson (Jeremy); his brother Ricky Whorton; and his granddaughter Evelyn Mack (Jacob).
