He is survived by: his parents, Jesus Zarate Acosta and Evelyn Prophitt Zarate of Veracruz, Mexico; his siblings, Mika Toney of Huntington Beach, CA, Lily Toney of Hogansville, Jesus Zarate of Veracruz, Maggie Zarate of LaGrange and Elsa Zarate of Veracruz; his aunts, Rose Persky of Dunwoody and Susan Vetter of Pine Mountain; and his uncle Sam Prophitt of Lithonia.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home (208 Johnson St, Hogansville, GA 30230). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
