He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Harry Nation and Joyce Kathleen Davis Nation; and his sister Leah Howard. He is survived by: his siblings, Andrea Lynn Harris, Daniel Presnell (Sharon), Clifford Presnell, Sherry Whitman, Leslie Presnell, Matthew Presnell and Joshua Presnell; his stepmother Carrie Nation; and his brother Jeff Presnell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
