Laura Bell Brooks Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laura Bell Brooks (LaGrange, Georgia), who passed away on October 8, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Harris and Lizzie Morgan Harris; her husband James Brooks; her siblings, Willie Lee "Bee" Harris, Irene (Leroy Stoudemire), Eddie Mae Magbry, George (Jessie Harris) and Frank (Eleanor Harris); and her great grandchild Rakariya Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Esta, Marissa, Claire, Arlinda, Raleigh Anderson, Jr., Martha Ann Brooks and Gloria Brooks; and her grandchildren, Raleigh Anderson, III, Christopher Brooks, Chelsea Anderson, Dr. LaToya, Karl Whitaker, Desmond, Latasha Anderson and Jafus Truitt. She is also survived by family, The Acree Family; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home (100 Corporate Plaza Dr, LaGrange, GA 30241). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (204 Fannin St, LaGrange, GA 30240).
