She was predeceased by: her parents, Buster Creed and Hattie Lee Creed; her husband James Edward Janney; her daughter Tonya Yvonne Janney; her sisters, Glenis O'Neal and Willie Faye Martin; and her friend Connie Titus.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shannon Matheny (Steven), Kimberly Scott (Antonio) and Christina Figueroa (Domingo); her siblings, Buford Creed and Gaynell Wingard (Wendell); her grandchildren, Heather, Leo, Sandra, Jacob, Matthew, Josh, Tatiana, Thalia and Alex; and her friend Kathy Clegg.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home (506 Hill St, LaGrange, GA 30241). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Restlawn Memory Gardens (2098 Mooty Bridge Rd, LaGrange, GA 30241).
