She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Tucker Jr. and Ida Street Tucker; her siblings, John Tucker, Dixie Tucker, Ida M. Tucker, Samuel F. Tucker and Mary Louise Tucker Ali; her siblings' children, Louise Antoinette Ali (Jamilah), Jeffery Tucker and Randall Tucker; and her close friend James Brown.
She is survived by: her nieces, Fatimah Ali, Karen Tucker Murray and Safiah Ali-Jenkins; her great-nephew Malik Sanders; her cousin Tawanna Street Strauther; and her sister-in-law Josphine Tucker.
During her tenure, she became a Golden Member, collaborated with the national sorority on initiatives such as the expansion of the African Village Project, contributions to the United Negro College Fund, and a revival of the African American Heritage Series.
