Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Marian Tucker Sambula of LaGrange, Georgia, who passed away at the age of 94, on June 6, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Tucker Jr. and Ida Street Tucker; her siblings, John Tucker, Dixie Tucker, Ida M. Tucker, Samuel F. Tucker and Mary Louise Tucker Ali; her niece Louise Antoinette Ali (Jamilah); her nephew Jeffery Tucker; and her close friend James Brown.
She is survived by: her nieces, Fatimah Ali, Karen Tucker Murray and Safiah Ali-Jenkins; her great-nephew Malik Sanders; her cousin Tawanna Street Strauther; and her sister-in-law Josphine Tucker.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Warren Temple U. M. Church (416 E Depot St, LaGrange, GA 30240).
During her tenure, she collaborated with the national sorority on initiatives such as the expansion of the African Village Project, contributions to the United Negro College Fund, and a revival of the African American Heritage Series.
