She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Duke Yarbrough and William Cage Yarbrough; and her husband Billy Leon Bowen. She is survived by: her children, Charlene Bowen Yates (Charles) of Montgomery and Derek Leon Bowen (Carol) of LaGrange, Georgia.; her grandchildren, Mollye Yates Gunnells (Ross) of Montgomery and Sarah Yates Prehmus (Drew) of Atlanta; and her great grandchildren, Ann Yates Gunnells, Lucy Elizabeth Gunnells, Catherine James Gunnells and Elizabeth Ada Prehmus.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at the Baptist Tabernacle (849 S Davis Rd, LaGrange, GA 30241).
