It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Anthony Blackwell of LaGrange, Georgia, born in Rapid City, South Dakota, who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Douglas Charles Blackwell; and his brothers, J. B. Blackwell and Dennis Blackwell. He is survived by: his spouse Laurie Lane Cook; his siblings, Dianne Strete, Ted Blackwell and Barry Blackwell; Joseph Kyle Cook (Jessica), Maddox, Olivia, Austin Kase Cook (Makinley) and Katherine Lane. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
