He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Mae Smith and John McGhee; and his siblings, Martha Ann Amey, Teresa McGhee and Jeffery McGhee.
He is survived by: his daughter Rendrea Lamara Potts; his grandson Tracen Lamar Allen; his brothers, John McGhee III, Thomas McGhee and Eric McGhee, Sr. (Candace); his brother-in-law Wilson Amey; his aunts, Nellie Potts, Kathy Potts and Jessie Potts; his uncle John Potts (Jean); and his niece Stacie Potts. He is also survived by nieces, nephews cousins, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home (100 Corporate Plaza Dr, LaGrange, GA 30241). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
