He was predeceased by: his parents, S. Clifford Rainey Jr. and Martha Spratling Rainey; his wife LaFaye Moncus Rainey; and his children, Sam Rainey, David Rainey and Windy Martin Luipen.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Rainey (Flor), Missy Martin Herndon (Tim) and April Franke (Gary); his grandchildren, Haley Michelle Smith (Craig), Dustin Herndon, Sam Franke, John Franke and Patrick Franke; his niece Martha Booros (Mike); and his great-nieces, Kimberly, Kristen and Martha Ashley. He is also survived by several other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Salvation Army or First United Methodist Church of LaGrange's General Memorial Fund in memory of Dr. Rainey.
