She was predeceased by: her parents, James Oscar Compton and Jesse Estelle McNeal Compton; her husband Odis Ross Russell; her daughter Vickie Russell Hay; her son-in-law Floyd Hay; and her siblings, Zollie Compton, Robert Compton, George Compton, Luther Compton, Neva Nell Rhodes and Audrey Emma Eiland.

She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Odis Russell (Tammy) and Sarah Jane Clarke (Larry Sr.); her siblings, Billy Compton (Jeanette) and Helen Moulton; and her grandchildren, Larry Clarke Jr. (Heather), Jennifer Norrington (Kendall), Ross Clarke, Jimmy Buttrey (Christine), Patricia Meese (John), Blake Russell, Benjamin Russell and Adam Caldwell (Sabrina). She is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Meadoway Gardens Cemetery (3293 Hamilton Rd, LaGrange, GA 30241). A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
