We are sad to announce that, on January 2, 2024, at the age of 87, Shirley Dean Veal of LaGrange, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John D. Brooks, Sr. and Florence Lynch Brooks; and her husband Homer Ernest Veal. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Ernest Veal (Kathy), Priscilla Dean Veal and Deborah Florence Johnson (Jerry); her siblings, John D. Brooks, Jr. (Rochelle), Lamar Brooks (Glenda) and Ann Hudson; her grandchildren, Joseph Johnson, Heather Cogan, Kallie Veal and Elizabeth Batchelor (Will); and her great grandchildren, Brittany, Katelyn, Steven, Clayton and Sierra. She is also survived by four great-great-grandchildren.
