He was predeceased by: his parents, James Patrick Brooks and Betty Jane Hilton Brooks; and his wife Daniela Rose Short Brooks. He is survived by: his daughters, Stephanie Brooks (Adam Seiz) and Melissa Ruiz (Jose Ruiz); his grandchildren, Jose Ruiz and Sydney Ruiz; his siblings, Susan Allen and Gary Brooks (Elizabeth); and his nephews, Chris Allen (Betsy) and John Patrick Allen (Crystal). He is also survived by several great nieces and great nephews; and numerous extended family.
