He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hugh Edwards, Sr. and Willie Mae Ogletree Edwards; his son Marcus L. Edwards; his siblings, Commanding (Major Willie Hugh Edwards, Jr.) and Elaine Edwards Sinkfield; and his close friend Shirley Lockhart.
He is survived by: his daughter Lori Nichelle "Nikkie" Saulter (Don); and his siblings, Vernon Edwards, Gail Edwards Snellings and Harriet Edwards. He is also survived by four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home (100 Corporate Plaza Dr, LaGrange, GA 30241). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
