He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Whorlan Briggs and Helen Mae Law Briggs; and his sister Dori Briggs. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Briggs of Valdosta; his sons, John (Heather Briggs) of Lake Park, Clint (Diana Briggs) of Wilkes Barre and Johnny Briggs (Jimmy Briggs) of Texas; his grandchildren, Brianna Fielder (Ryan) of Dothan, Alabama, Kayleigh Briggs of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania., Kyleigh Briggs of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania., Kaydon Briggs of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania., Abby Biggs of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. and Grayson Briggs of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.; and his brother Bill Briggs of New Castle. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carson McLane Funeral Home (2215 N Patterson St, Valdosta, GA 31602).
