He was predeceased by: his parents, Iris Pate and Maynard Pate; his siblings, John Pate and Lois Pate Edwards; his sister-in-law Melinda Pate; and his mother-in-law Jayne Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Copeland Pate (Kim) of Lake Park; his son William Earl Pate (Will) of Lake Park; his siblings, Gloria Pate of Fort Gaines, Jackie Hartley (Mike) of Fort Gaines and Leon Pate of Valdosta; his father-in-law Earl Copeland (Jan) of Clyattville; and his sisters-in-law, Gina Reynolds (Justin) of Grovetown, GA and Nancie Geddings (Jonathan) of Charleston, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a great-niece.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Awakening Collegiate Fellowship of Valdosta (https://awakeningvaldosta.com) or Park Avenue Church (https://parkave.church) A service celebrating Bill's life will be held at Park Avenue Church on Thursday, August 13 at 11 a.m.
