He is survived by: his wife Judy Simpson of Lakeland, Georgia; his children, Kyle Simpson (Maygan) of Lakeland, Georgia and Nichole Barber (Zach) of Nashville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Evan Barber, Ethan Barber, Nate Simpson and Molly Simpson; his sister Ann Lee of Lakeland, Georgia; and his sister-in-law Debbie Simpson of Lakeland, Georgia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Book Hotel Knight Memorial Baptist Church (1312 Teeterville Rd, Lakeland, GA 31635). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sunset Hill Cemetery (1100 N Oak St, Valdosta, GA 31601).
