With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Linda Whitworth of Lavonia, Georgia, who passed away on June 11, 2025 at the age of 68. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Linda Whitworth to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Blaine Huston and Frances Powell. She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Whitworth Bailey (Chris) and Sherry Ann Whitworth Raley (Leland); her grandchildren, Michael and Erica Padgett (Steven); her great grandchildren, Michael, Stevie Padgett and Ian Padgett; her siblings, Donald Huston (Kim), Francis Huston, Wanda Justice, Diane Huston and Rosie Huston; her granddaughter Hope Porterfield Turner; and her great grandchild Paul Padgett. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home-Lavonia (355 Bear Creek Rd, Lavonia, GA 30553). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 1:45 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Burgess Cemetery (184 Arlington Dr, Lavonia, GA 30553).
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to defray funeral expenses.
