He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Reed and Daisy Reed; his wife Patricia Sue Riley Reed; his brother John Reed; and his nephew Michael Reed.
He is survived by: his brother Don; his sisters-in-law, Kim Reed and Patti Reed; his stepchildren, Marty Horan (Sandy), Mike Horan (Tammy) and Maureen Horan; and his nephews, Wesley Reed (Lori), Matt Reed (Aleshia) and Brandon Reed. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren; numerous great-nieces and nephews, and a host of dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home-Lavonia (355 Bear Creek Rd, Lavonia, GA 30553). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to defray expenses or to the Five Area Volunteer Fire Department.
