She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Glenn Matthews and Laura Cook Matthews. She is survived by: her husband Al J. Braxton; and her stepsons, Jay Braxton of Mooresville, NC and Roger Braxton of Bowman, GA..
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hartwell First Methodist Church (200 E Howell St, Hartwell, GA 30643). A reception will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell First Methodist Church, 200 E. Howell Street, Hartwell GA 30643 of to the Hart County Botanical Gardens, P.O. Box 44, Hartwell GA 30643.
