He is survived by: his wife Margaret Appling McDaniel; his children, Amy, Jeff Dispain, Jason and Christine McDaniel; his grandchildren, Erica Caviness, Taylor Dispain, Cailin McDaniel and Alex Riggs; his siblings, Ann Jett, Deborah Clanton, Kenneth McDaniel and Rev. Landy McDaniel (Rita); and his siblings-in-law, Rachel Underwood (Terry), Margie McDowell (Mike), Faye Presley (Otis), Emily Appling, Joe Appling (Pat) and Richard Appling (Dianne).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens (1832 Pleasant Hill Rd, Duluth, GA 30096).
