While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy R. Sprague and Edward C. Sprague. He is survived by: his daughter Kelly Goldson-Vaas; his son-in-law Byron Vaas; his sister Arden Scranton; his brother-in-law Charles Scranton of Vermont; his nieces, Sarah and Gretchen; his nephew David Scranton; and his pet Judah.

In his memory a donation may be made to the Second Chance Animal Center in Arlington, VT.
