It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra G. Valdes (Lawrenceville, Georgia), born in Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on March 16, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Herman Gandee and Doris Skeen Gandee; her sister Deanna Gandee Bovaird; and her husband Richard Earl Valdes. She is survived by: her children, Tina (Lisa), Tara and Richie (Sarah Beth); her granddaughters, Caroline, Norah and Maggie; her brothers-in-law, Jim Valdes (Sherry), Jody Valdes (Peggy) and Vernon Bovaird; and her daughters, Caroline Faith, Norah Jane and Maggie Claire. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandy's name to the Atlanta Music Project (http://www.atlantamusicproject.org) or to Collins Hill Baptist Church's Mission Fund notated to support Ed and Jean Cook, missionaries to Brazil.
