He is survived by: his wife Joyce Marie Hankton of Lawrenceville Ga; his children, Terri Clemons (Omar) of Russellville, AR, Kendra Hankton of Columbus, OH and Terry Hankton II (Felicia) of San Antonio, TX; his sister Joyce Handy (Morris) of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Shakayla Canady (Brytton) of Mesa, AZ, Hakim Gray, Ishmael Salahaldin of Kennesaw, GA and Tyson of San Antonio, TX; his great grandchildren, Eden Grace and Zuri Rose of Mesa, AZ; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Burse, Elizabeth Custard, Lucile Cole of Selma, AL, Jessie Brown (Willie) of Browns, AL, Thelma Dudley of Lantana, FL, Mary Watts of Buffalo, NY, Jonathan Alexander (Mary), Johnnie Cole of Selma, AL and Phillip Alexander of San Marcos, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
