We announce the death of Lula Faye Hatcher of Leslie, Georgia, who passed away on July 1, 2026, at the age of 66. Lula will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy Monroe Varnum, Sr. and Peggy Short; and her brothers, Billy Monroe Varnum Jr. and Jimmy Varnum. She is survived by: her husband Ronnie Hatcher of Leslie; her children, Niki Hatcher and Benji Varnum (Katie); her grandchildren, Ashten Stewart, Bradley Smith, Savannah Varnum, Caleb Smith, Jackson Varnum and Kenady Keuper; her great grandchild Emery Smith "Bug"; and her sisters, Debbie Legg (Michael) and Jennifer Holbrook (Efrem).

The family asked memorial contributions to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Southland Academy.
